The learning curve is probably lower as well (though theres certainly much more community Blender learning resources than Modo). There is the benefit of learning much of Modo, which is certainly used more widely by professionals and within actual commercial pipelines than Blender, and the export process, catered here to Dota 2, is going to be vastly smoother than Blender. Want to spend $100 on limited software with a limiting licence on what you can do with it? Get Modo Steam Edition. Want to make models for non-Workshop games? Take the time to learn Blender. The exports are a little funky at times and true it's not widely used by professionals, but most of it's tools are on par with Modo and other software, in some cases superior to them in one way or another. Why not just use Blender? No cost, no limitations on what you create or what you do with what you create. So many upset people here it seems and questions about reduced functionality and limitations.
